Information Sent Through Search Forms
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that returns the results. Georgia Residents Directory does not keep a copy of that query on its own servers. If you contact us, we receive the details included in your message and use them to respond.
Routine Server Log Data
The hosting service records standard log details such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time stamps. These are reviewed in aggregate to maintain the service and learn which reference pages are useful. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may also use cookies or similar tools where enabled.
How We Use the Information
Log and message data support day-to-day operation, issue repair, traffic counts, and page improvements. We do not sell lists of visitors or assemble individual user profiles.
Outside Portals and Search Tools
Georgia records portals, court systems, libraries, archives, and sponsored search tools have their own privacy rules. Any information entered on one of those services is handled under that provider's policy, not this one. Review its terms before sending personal details.
Service Providers and Legal Disclosures
Hosting and support vendors process ordinary server logs as needed to run the site. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires it; otherwise we do not share it.
Security and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection. Server logs are retained only for the operational purposes described in this policy. Because the service has no visitor accounts, it does not hold an account password or profile for you.
Children and Teens
These reference pages are intended for adults, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If you think a minor has sent us details, contact us so we can review and remove them.
Requests About Information We Hold
You may ask us to locate, correct, or delete information kept in our contact mailbox or server logs by using the Contact page. No broad Georgia deletion right or universal opt-out for information held by data brokers is described here. Official records held by Georgia state, county, or city offices are outside our control; questions about those files belong with the custodian that maintains them.
